Our Volunteers…
Goshen Community Care and Hospice volunteers are out in the community driving residents to appointments, visiting those who are homebound, residents in nursing homes and hospitals, preparing a meal, hospice volunteering and helping out at the Tuesday senior social.
Tuesday Social
Our Tuesday senior social is the happening place to be. We offer light refreshments, cards, scrabble, dominos and Mahjong.
The second Tuesday of the month (weather permitting) lunch is served at 12:00 pm – sponsored by the Connecticut Community Foundation. Our senior social offers socialization, monthly informational topics, and upcoming senior trips through the Goshen recreation department.
We meet in the hall in the Parish Hall annex at the Congregational Church at the Goshen Rotary from 1:00-3:00pm.
Would you be interested in becoming a volunteer? There are many opportunities available with the flexibility to meet your schedule.
We offer many opportunities including driving residents to appointments, visitation in the home, hospital and nursing home. Friendly phone calls, short term meals, hospice volunteers, water booth volunteers (Goshen Fair) and senior social helpers.
If you have some time to share with our residents, we would love to hear from you. We touch the lives of many of our residents . What a gift our volunteers are to our community.
