Tricia Poirier — President

Tricia P

My husband and I have been residents of Goshen since 2005. We have two school-age children and love the community feel of Goshen! I have always worked for nonprofits, focusing on marketing and fundraising. I currently work at Connecticut Community Foundation, where I partner with donors to assist them in meeting their charitable goals. I also coordinate the annual Give Local Greater Waterbury and Litchfield online fundraising campaign. I look forward to continuing to serve the community via Goshen Community Care and I am honored to serve as President in 2024.

Sarah Leonard – Vice President

My name is Sarah Leonard, I’ve lived in Goshen for over 10 years. I love the sense of community here and I feel very connected to my neighbors and the people that surround me.

I live on a small farm, help with my husband’s business, and substitute teach. I have a background in recreation which helps me with my most important job – being a mom to a wonderful son! I’m always looking for another project, event, or challenge.

I’m honored to serve on the board at Goshen Community Care. I hope to continue to incorporate my experience and knowledge to further the vision of the organization.

Danielle Mastrocola — Treasurer

I was raised in Torrington and moved to Goshen with my husband Zachary 5 years ago. I am a mom to our amazing son Landon and beautiful stepdaughter Sydney. Currently, I work as the Director of Social Services at one of the area local skilled nursing facilities. I have over 20 years experience working in health care and with the seniors. I love the Goshen community and I look forward to my time as a board member with Goshen Community Care and Hospice.

Kim Andrusia

In 2020, my husband and I moved to Goshen from Central Connecticut with our 2 amazing children – Lily and Austin. I love the sense of community, the school system, and am grateful I can give back to the community by serving on the Goshen Community Care board. I also care for my elderly father and see the need for this organization in our community. I am happy to see the benefits it brings.

Within a few months of moving here, we started a small farm producing garlic and raising honeybees, but still have our day jobs in the technology sector. My family enjoys spending time at Tyler Lake in the summer and outdoor activities in the wintertime. I’m honored to serve on the board at Goshen Community Care and look forward to the upcoming year!

Randy Carocci

Randy

I have been a long-term member of the Goshen community, calling it my home for the past 21 years. I love the community feel of our town and wanted to help out by joining the Goshen Community Care board of directors.

Donna Devanna

I recently came back to the Goshen Community Care Board of Directors because I want to be a part of an organization that does so many wonderful things for our community. I am a natural caretaker, providing care to my 100-year-old Mother, as well as my two small goats. I also enjoy my vegetable and flower gardens. I’ve been a part of the Goshen community for 10 years now and I love everything about this small town.

Bill Kennedy

My wife and I have lived in Goshen for 24 years. We enjoy biking and hiking in the Litchfield Hills. We are both active with the Goshen community garden, which helps provide fresh produce to various nonprofits in our area. Goshen has been an amazing place to raise our family—the community is unsurpassed in providing support to any resident in need. I recently rejoined the board at Goshen Community Care. I love that this organization provides so much outreach to our neighbors, especially the programs for the elderly. When I’m not in Goshen, you can find me serving the city of Waterbury as a career firefighter.

Katlin Marchand

I have been a Goshen resident for 8 years and I love everything about Goshen—especially our school, the friends I’ve made, and the amazing people! I am a mother of two children who attend Goshen Center School. I’m a 3rd grade teacher in a neighboring town and I also volunteer for the United Way of Northwest Connecticut Women’s Leadership initiative. I love to read and walk in my free time.

I recently joined the GCC Board to help our citizens in a new way. I also want my children to start becoming involved in our community as well!

Patrick Reilly

I moved to Goshen with my wife and three children in 1982, after two years of clearing the lot and building our home. I am a retired Waterbury Fire Captain and currently serve as an E.M.R. on the Goshen Volunteer Ambulance. I have served Goshen in the past as a Board Member and President of the Goshen Public Library Board of Directors.

I am secretary of the Friends of Goshen Library and with a group of dedicated volunteers we produce the Goshen Library Book Sale at the Goshen Fair. I also serve on the Goshen Recycling and Trash Committee and as an Alternate on the Goshen Board of Finance.

Erin Strouse

My name is Erin Strouse and I feel so lucky to say that I’m raising my kids in the town where I spent much of my childhood. My family have been part time residents of Goshen since I was a baby, and for the past three years my husband, two boys and I have made this our full-time home. While being mom to two elementary school boys keeps my very busy, I Also enjoy volunteering my time whenever possible in local organizations, such as the Goshen Center PTO, the Woodridge Lake Youth Activities Committee, the League of Women Voters of Litchfield County, and now the board of Goshen Community Care. I also like to make time for tennis in the summer and plenty of skiing at Mohawk in the winter. One thing I love about Goshen is that so many of our community members who have grown up here have now returned or stayed to raise their own families. Additionally, there are many seniors and empty nesters that have chosen to stay rooted in Goshen. I believe the pull comes from the strong sense of community that our small but tight-knit town provides. Of course, this is what appealed to me about joining the board of GCC, an organization that for so long has worked to make sure our seniors and some of our more vulnerable citizens stay connected and feel the support of our wonderful community.

Darleene Wadhams

I have lived in Goshen since I was three years old. My husband, Rick and I raised our son, Brent, and our daughter, Brooke, here as well. We have five beautiful grandchildren. I enjoy reading, quilting/crafting, cooking, baking, and traveling. Most of all I love spending time with my family and friends.

“Hope” is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without words and never stops—at all.
