Goshen Community Care and Hospice was the recipient of the American Legion Citizenship Award for 2021. The award was presented at the Memorial Day ceremony on May 30, 2021. The award is given out annually to individuals who have been active in volunteering and helping in the community. This year the American Legion recognized Goshen Community Care and Hospice, as an organization of volunteers, had done a great job helping to serve the community during the Covid 19 pandemic. It is an honor to be the recipient of this award. The Board and volunteers have worked so hard to help our community in so many ways. We delivered meals, checked in on residents, made phone calls, picked up groceries and medications, supplied medical equipment from the loan closet, helped families in need, created busy bags with monthly themes, and did our best to help bring some normalcy to our residents during the pandemic. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers and Board members.
